Personal History		DOB: August 14, 2353 •From Ga!way/Mayo County, Ireland where The Quiet Man filmed. Carissa was born to Conall and Fiona Holmes. She is the third of six children, (three boys, three girls) While their father went out to serve as a marine, the kids were raised in Ireland where they had room to roam, and just be children. Her mother helped to run the farm of Carissa's maternal grandparents. Her grandfather was a marine. Her grandfather on her dad's side, was in Star Fleet security. Her grandmother is a civilian. Growing up with the varied lifepaths that the family traveled, Carissa saw firsthand how to navigate the differences that people shared. The most important thing was communication, understanding, and a lot of patience. Things were not perfect, there were clashes but they were worked out sometimes with some gunboat diplomacy. •2371 Carissa turned 18 and joined Star Fleet. Her major was in Diplomacy, her minor was in investigation security. •2373 She met Duncan Holmes, he was two years ahead, but was taking some of the same classes. •2374 Carissa and Duncan got married •2375 Carissa passed her cadet cruise while pregnant. A month later when they went to visit her family, Carissa went into labor. Angus Brendan Holmes was born. •2376 Both Carissa and Duncan served with the diplomatic services at Federation HQ with others. •2377 Carissa and Duncan had a baby girl, Katherine Fiona Holmes it was a happy occasion. •2378-2383 Carissa and Duncan served on a Galaxy Class ship as it was in on exploration journey. •2384-2389 The Holmes Family was transferred to a planet named Myrfen as ambassadors. •2389-Planet Myrfen: Life changed for Carissa and her family. Later in that year, after their 15th wedding anniversary, Duncan had gone to a meeting with dignitaries to work out a peace treaty between warring factions. Carissa couldn't go as she was ill. During that meeting, insurgents disrupted the meeting trying to kill one of the opposing dignitaries. Duncan died saving the dignitary's life. When they brought Duncan's body back to Carissa the shock,combined with her illness caused her to faint and go into a comatose state. Her body healed, her mind, they were not certain. Carissa was in that state for a month and there were some worries that she wouldn't come out of it. What pulled her out of it were several factors. 1. Her kids, 2.There had been conversation near her, when she was unconcious, that the talks failed because of Duncan. 3. In her 'dreams' she heard her husband yell at her to wake up. And so she did,feeling rather angry. Her son Angus was quite shocked when the monitors keeping track of her vitals started beeping wildly, indicating that something was happening. When he ran in his mother was sitting up and taking off the feeds off. Katherine entered in just moments afterwards. Carissa found herself wrapped in their embrace, both of them crying in relief. She wasn't allowed to get back to work for about a month, she did take her husband's body back to his home town to be buried. Once she returned, Carissa was a woman on a mission. She hunted down those who had been at the table of peace talks, got them to come back to the table, and work out the differences. Great care had been taken not to have repeat of what happened earlier. She was given, behind her back, the nickname of Amazon. She was a force to be reckoned with, due to her determination, in making certain that treaties were made, signed, and kept. During the years that they were on Myrfen, Carissa learned various languages of Myrfen, Katharine was taken into the fold of those who were warriors. Angus had been working with the healers of the land and learned a lot. He had decided he wanted to be in medical. Katherine, she wanted to be a warrior. 2391 At the end of the year, Carissa, Angus and Katherine went to Earth for the holidays. They stayed there, Angus taking the prepatory classes for StarFleet Academy. While he attended High School. Katherine went as well. Carissa was assigned to be a part of the diplomatic services on Earth. 2393-Angus joined StarFleet Adademy 2394-Katherine joined the Marines 2396- Both Angus and Katherine graduated from their respective academies. There was a celebration of these events, then Angus and Katherine went to where they wouild be serving. With Carissa now having an empty nest she was assigned to work with the peace talks with the Cardassians. Her destination was DS5
