Mission: Tergum In Tempus
Location: Various

[PREVIOUSLY]

[Security Control Center]

The panic alarm from station Ops flashed across the screen of Lecesse's console. There were teams in the vicinity, but not usually stationed there. Protocol was for the doors to be sealed and all personnel in the Command Center to be armed. They would worry about the cause later, right now the situation called for a rapid response.
=/\= Nexus to all teams. We have a spike in Ops. I repeat, we have a Spike in Ops.=/\=

Almost immediately she heard a response.
"This is DART Team 3. We're en route." A standard security team in the vicinity also responded to the call.

(Deck 660)

Annora and her companions had moved towards the docking bays, where hopefully they would lay a trap for any Cardassian and Xi’Cadian troops that reached the station. Hearing about the breach in Ops, Annora wasted little time in tapping her comm-badge.
"Echo 1 is en route. ETA 3 minutes."

While she doubted they would arrive for the initial push, it was likely there were more hostiles converging on Ops. In theory, shields and weapons could be run from elsewhere but it was a less than ideal scenario.

[Deck 12]

The DART team, formerly SRU, came around the corner with weapons at the ready. As they did so, 2 Xi'Cadian troops standing watch were quickly dispatched. By that point the 2nd team had arrived, providing extra muscle.

When the turbolift doors opened, Annora noticed a security officer standing off to the side. It almost looked like they were assigned to sentry duty, but something about them attracted her attention.
"You two go ahead. I'll catch up." She said to the Chief and Lt Lee.

"Nice disguise. You almost had me." She said to her alternate self. "The short blonde hair and gray eyes is a good addition to the Bajoran prosthetics. I almost forgot about that disguise."

Tessaro motioned to where the teams were staking up to retake Ops. "I was going to join some of the Marines, but changed my mind when I heard you responding here. If anyone asks, I'm Pellon Silar, a new transfer to the Marines just last week."

Annora grinned.
"Perfect. Let's join the team."

With not having to hide her identity, Annora could more easily take charge of the situation.
"Report!" She asked of Petty Officer Tihr.

"Welcome to the fight Ma'am." He started with. "According to scans, there's 5 Cardassian soldiers. Their load-out is unknown as are any Starfleet casualties."

Making a note to permanently station at least 2 security guards during any future Red Alerts, Annora took in the information.
"Right. Four person entry. Tihr, you and me make two. Kalar, and Ancheril. You round out the primary team." She said, looking around at the gathered security personnel.

"Lee, Gelsdorf, Teufel, and Mirko. You'll be the second team. Wait 30 seconds before following us in. Once the room is clear, your focus will be any friendlies who need immediate medical attention. Chief, you remain here. I would expect more guests to arrive. Make sure they know they're not welcome. Hopefully a proper med team will arrive soon. Show them in if Ops has been secured."

Once the primary team was on the move, Anson started counting off in his head. One one thousand, two one thousand, three one thousand.... He'd hit twenty-six when a phaser shot scored the wall next to him, close enough he could feel the sudden heat off the metal. Twenty-six was close enough. He signaled the second team to move before they got stuck fighting the new arrivals.

[Tiahuanaco]

T'mpest noted that three of the larger ships were holding back. "Peters, target their sensors and blind them. Jackson, contact the other ships. If they are holding back, it must be for a reason. We need to stop them from whatever they are planning."

"Aye, aye, ma'am."

Two minutes later, all six ships were converging on the three. "Get as close as you can. Point blank range."

The six ships began a coordinated attack, taking out sensors and communications first so they couldn't communicate with the rest of the fleet. Then they targeted weapons and shields.

They got in several volleys before four Xi'Cadian ships entered the fray.

[Promenade]

Kali Fagan had only been on the station for a short time and didn't like thinking her new business would be in trouble because of the attack. She'd seen several Cardassians and the tall, blue Xi'Cadians milling around and decided it was time to cause a little trouble of her own.

She had a large box of glitter bombs that had been sent to her by mistake. She was going to return it, but now, she had something else in mind. "Pip, get a bag and fill it with the glitter bombs. Target any Cardassians and Xi'Cadians you can see. I'll take a bag and see what I can do."

The two quickly had large gunny sack filled with glitter bombs and went onto the promenade, each taking a different direction. When Pip came onto a blockade of Cardassians herding people toward the center of the promenade, he began to pass out glitter bombs to everyone who would take one. Before he had time to empty the bag, the dozen Cardassians were covered with sticky glitter.

Kali found a group of six teenagers and handed them the bag she had. "This is for the Cardassians and Xi'Cadians who are trying to take over the station. Don't use them on anyone else. Got it?"

All six were grinning as they nodded. She took the bag and quickly went back to her shop for a refill.

[Promenade]

Ensign Lara Jen was patrolling the Promenade weapon at the ready. Her patrol partner Ensign Raf Mrad had been reassigned to guard Operations and her new partner was yet to arrive. The young Pelan moved cautiously through the normally busheling area. She turned a corner and came face to face with a pair of Cardassian troops. They opened fire and she dove for cover. Taking a deep breath, she fired back.

Her shot hit one of them in the shoulder.

Spotting the controls for fire suppression system, she activated. Dousing the two Cardassians in freezing suppressant.

The attacking Cardassians nearly froze in place and she took the opportunity to dispatch them both.

It was then that another Starfleet officer in gold approached her. "You're Ensign Jen right?" He asked.

"Yes." She replied.

He smiled. "I'm Ensign Timon Rath, your new partner, sorry I'm late, this place is like a maze."

"Well, ain't that just peachy. I could have used your help two minutes ago, Rath." She replied though gritted teeth.

Timon frowned.

[USS Canterbury]

"Captain, sensors are detecting weapon's fire near DS5." Lieutenant Kokinos reported from the Science station.

"Helm set as course for DS5." Captain Anderson ordered. "Best speed."

"Aye, sir." The Conn officer replied her fingers flying over the controls.

The ship increased speed and headed for the space station.

"Tactical open a channel to DS5."

"Channel open." He replied.

"DS5, this is Captain T'Lisa Anderson of the Starship Canterbury, how can we be of assistance?" T'Lisa asked.

"Station Operations here, we are under attack by combined Cardassian and Xi'Cadians forces."

"Understood, DS5, Anderson, out."

"Tactical open a ship wide channel."

"Channel open, sir."

"Crew of the Canterbury, this is your Captain speaking. We are about engage an enemy bent on destruction. All stations prepare for battle."

The Bridge lighting turned red, the shields raised and the weapons came online.

T'Lisa turned to her XO and old friend, and received a tooth filled grin from Commander Kror Gar'Rel.

"Tactical engage enemy on site."

"Aye, sir." Tactical replied.

The XO roared with delight. Being a former tactical officer, he envied the Lieutenant at Tactical the first strike at the enemy. What was his name? Laymer or something.

[USS Canterbury - Bridge]

"Captain, two Galor Class are moving to intercept us." Lt. Latimer reported from Tactical.

"Target their weapons, fire when in range." T'Lisa ordered.

[Pangaea - Portal Complex]

The Cardassian forces had taken the bait and were pressing hard and gaining ground has Means and his Marines engaged in a fighting retreat. Means slapped a fresh power cell into his rifle when the signal sounded in his earpiece sounded. "POINT ZULU REACHED!"

The final point of their planned retreat had been achieved and right on cue a dozen flares were fired into the sky lighting up the sky as the sun was setting.
