Mission: Tergum In Tempus
Location: Various

[PREVIOUSLY]

T'mpest was the last person to beam off the ship. As she did so, she saw the Cardassian ships turn their weapons on the Tiahuanaco, but it would be too late to prevent the ship from ramming into one of the larger ships.

[CONTINUED]

The Warship Vasheen directed all of its firepower into the closing vessel while simultaneously engaging its lateral and aft maneuvering thrusters to avoid she ship. The barrage of firepower was enough to rip the starboard warp nacelle from the body of the vessel and slightly alter the ship's trajectory; but not enough to completely avoid the collision.

The Vasheen's starboard collided with the dorsal section of the vessel while it was in the middle of a lateral rotation. The impact ripped through the Vasheen causing it to lose stability and any semblance of control over its maneuvering abilities. The impact caused the ship to decompress and explosions rippled throughout the vessel as it thrust the Warship into a complete freefall towards Deep Space 5.

The station's Point Defense Turrets immediately identified the incoming vessel's husk and open fire. A significant portion of the crippled vessel was damaged in the barrage, but an aft section of the vessel had broken off and made it past the station's hellfire and collided with the station near what could be identified as Decks 1,105 - 1,124, the tractor beam and Primary Shielding Generator.

The Negh'Var flagship swung around as they flew through the remains of the Xi'Cadian cruiser that fell to the battleship. His ship raced towards the station but Charg bolted to his feet as he saw what the station was doing. As the station locked multiple tractor beams onto several ships they were now easy prey. "TARGET THAT SHIP!"

As the tractor beam and the onslaught of weapons quickly drain the Cardassian shields, it was ripped apart as a barrage of torpedoes shattered its hull. "Inform the fleet to target any enemy vessel held in the station's tractor beams."

Swinging to port the Klingon battleship turned away from the station to locking onto its next target.

[Canterbury Bridge]

"Captain, we have our share of the Tiahuanaco's crew." Lt. Commander Muller reported. "The ship's CO, Captain Michaels wishes to see you."

"Acknowledged, have her brought to my Ready Room." T'Lisa said. Turning to Commander Ga'Rel, you have the Bridge.

T'mpest headed for the bridge, pausing briefly to have a look at the viewscreen, then she continued to the captain's ready room and rang the chime.

"Enter, Captain." T'Lisa said from her desk.

T'mpest entered the ready room and stopped in front of T'Lisa, giving her a Vulcan bow. "Greetings. And thank you for collecting my crew."

T'Lisa rose from her chair and returned the bow. "Greetings. It is my pleasure. It is difficult to be a Captain, without a crew." She said. "My own crew are like a family to me."

"As are mine. They fought honorably. Thank you for taking us off the ship. What damage did my ship do?" T'mpest hoped using her ship to ram the Cardassian cluster would have done significant damage.

"The Cardassian ship itself was destroyed in the explosion, along with 12 Hideki fighters."

"Good. At least it wasn't a futile effort." T'mpest had only been on the Tiahuanaco for two years, but she was going to miss it, and the crew as they would likely be reassigned to different places.

[Pangaea - Marine offensive]

Forces from the portal complex had linked up with those from the joint research compound and were pushing further south against ever weakening Cardassian resistance. "SIR!. We have two incoming Birds of Prey, K'Vort class."

Before Means could send out a warning the two Klingon ships came in guns blazing and strafed the Cardassian positions before disappearing over the trees.

== Federation forces, this is Commander Vurok of the Klingon Empire. We have come to join you in battle! 500 warriors are being deployed now. ==

Means looked to his team as they all grinned knowingly. The Cardassians, at least those on the surface, were finished. "Commander...Let the Ambassador know the first barrel of blood wine is on me!"

== That I will and we will toast their defeat once again! QAPLA! ==

They could see the ships rise in the distance as they went to join the fight between the planet and DS5.

[Bag End]

Alanna Wells could do little at this point but watch and record. She only had herself and Bri at Bag End, but she knew that recording as much as she could would be important later, when the Cardassians tried to accuse Starfleet of malfeasance. Still, she couldn't help worrying about the outcome.

But when she heard the message about 500 Klingon warriors, she shouted for joy. She had no idea how much blood wine was on the station and planet, but they'd drink it dry tonight.

Then she noticed a light flashing on one of her secondary computers. One of the relay points she used to scramble Cardassian communications had gone down, leaving a small opening that could be exploited, whether by accident or intent. And right now, there was nothing she could do short of putting up another relay. She only hoped the Marines' equipment covered that area.

[Space Around Deep Space 5]

On the USS Canterbury, T'mpest heard the message, a grin spreading across her face. "T'Lisa, the cavalry has arrived."

"The Klingons do enjoy a fight." T'Lisa said. "My ribs still ache from the last time I argued with one. It was quiet while he was unconscious for the next two days, once I fought back." She smiled briefly. "I earned his undying respect after that."

[DS5 - Promenade]

Lasuma and several others worked to clear debris from the entrance of the Box of Delights. A conduit had ruptured earlier but because of Cardassian troops that had managed to get aboard it had taken some time to get to the club. There was the stench of burnt flesh, not coming from the Box, but the Cardassian that had been fire bombed from the deck above. One of the oldest weapons in the book but still effective.

Joining them, Dorian arrived and with the doorway cleared, they made their way in and to help with the wounded.

Kali Fagan and Bastille LeGrange were out on the promenade, looking for anyone who needed help. Neither wanted to sit in their shop and wait for whatever happened next. At least this way, they were doing something useful. Working in tandem, they went from shop to shop, checking on everyone they could.

[IKV Suvwl’SuS]

The ambassador's ship had taken up a position before the station flanked by two Vorcha battlecruisers. On his view screen the battle still continued. The Cardassian had a long history of treachery and betrayal...it was time to pit Xi’Cadian against Cardassian and Cardassians against themselves. Looking to his comms officer. "Open a general hail."

"Ready Milord."

"Cardassian forces! This is Ambassador Charghwl'IH, Klingon Ambassador to Deep Space Five. You are defeated! Your troops on the surface are outnumbered and surrounded. Your fleet is shattered. You now face two Klingon squadrons and a fully operational station. Surrender!

Easing himself into his chair, "Hand over Hydel Turvan and you will be spared."

[Cardassian Pangaea Research Facility]

"Sir, 27, no...32, I say again, 32 Klingon vessels have entered the system and are closing in on the planet." The Tactical Officer announced from her station. "It appears they are moving to surround the planet and cut us off from our remaining forces." She continued.

Hydel Turvan gripped the console before him as he watched the viewscreen light up with the new additions. "Just as I had anticipated, the Klingons have begun taking up blocking positions between us and the planet forming an obstacle that would prevent us from reinforcing our forces on the planet surface. Divide and conquer if you will." Turvan said, still holding onto the console.

"Sir, now would be a convenient time to call in our reserve forces from the Xi'Cadian Home Guard." Gul Denat Meran said in a low tone to the Senior Cardassian. "The Federation and Klingon forces combined have over 40 vessels. . .it may be enough to..." He began saying, but was cut off.

"It may be enough to see my people fed into a meat grinder." Prime Marshal Chat'zel interjected via the split viewscreen. The leader of the Xi'Cadian Fleet had watched as his crew had fallen one after another. He had been in enough battles to recognize when the tide of battle had turned against him.

"Then we'll consolidate all remaining forces onto the planet, a Vor'Cha class vessel is worthless within a planetary atmosphere." Gul Meran replied. "They'd lose any tactical advantage their fleet possess." He said forcefully. "Our Hideki fighters are superior to any Klingon vessel in low-atmosphere." He stated.

"Even if we could sever the Klingon's fleet," Prime Marshal Chat'zel countered. "...we still don't have control over the station." He pointed out. "Without control of the station and the submission of its crew, the Federation forces can always reinforce any ground forces that touchdown onto the planet." He said as his vessel shook from a disruptor blast.

Turvan had allowed the two to go back and forth without interruption while he continued to examine the viewscreen and the corresponding battle. As much as he would love to see the Klingons dragged into a bloody insurgency that could last for weeks if not months, he also realized that there would be no way to secure a victory without control of the station.

He was the leader of this entire operation. It was his plan, and as a result its success or failure fell onto his shoulders.

"Perhaps if we negotiate with the Federation we can arrange a ceasefi--" Prime Marshal Chat'zel began to articulate, but he was silenced by the louder voice of Turvan as he looked towards the Communications Officer. "Send the signal to the Warship Nuvor, tell Gul Vashur. . ." Hydel paused as he allowed the silence to garner the attention of every Cardassian within the room as well as Gul Meran and Prime Marshal Chat'zel.
