Time After Time
Location: Ready Room

Her apology and talk with T'Lul brought something to the surface making Cara come to a decision. If she were going to continue working with T'mpest it was time for some revelations to be made to the Commodore, especially about the man who was hunting her. Cara wasn't certain as to how T'mpest was going to receive what she had to tell her but, it was a necessary risk.
"Commodore, its Letsul. I need to have a meeting with you, do you have time for one?"
"Of course. My ready room?" T'mpest replied immediately.
"That will do." Cara replied.
A couple of minutes later, Cara arrived at the ready room, pressing the chime then entering. "Thank you for seeing me, Commodore." Cara didn't feel entirely comfortable in calling T'mpest by her first name. Not after Cara had that meltdown where T'Lul was concerned. Her demeanor was at calm repose, and things needed to be kept factual, and informative. "What I have to tell you, must remain between us."
T'mpest stood when her door chimed. "All right. Would you prefer to sit at my desk or over by the viewport?" She wasn't sure where Cara would feel more comfortable for whatever she needed to say.
"It would be preferable to have a seat on the sofa. Thank you. " Cara giving a nod, and walking towards the sofa, she took a seat, glancing towards the view outside of the ready room, before she turned her attention to T'mpest.
Because of Cara's demeanor, T'mpest didn't offer her a drink. Instead, she took a seat in the chair opposite the sofa and waited for Cara to speak.
"I joined Starfleet at age 16, when there was a call for new recruits when the Federation had taken heavy losses during the war. I enjoyed the academic part and also the interaction with my fellow classmates. I graduated and was assigned to a ship as part of their counseling staff. That, though, was part of a cover when I was brought into Intelligence, and worked as part of a team with my oldest brother Elias. Captain Hayden Vasal, was our team leader, and he was good at his job. I was with them for two years until I just didn't want to do it anymore. I wanted to do the job I had originally wanted and that was being a counselor. Vasal wasn't wanting to let me go, but my brother, Elias, got him to release me. Shortly after that happened, my brother was killed. Vasal had sent him on a mission to help free Betazed was set free."
She took a breath, still calm even though she spoke of her brother's death. "Time moved on, and I went to my different assignments. The ship I was assigned to the USS King George V Starfleet Intelligence wanted me to keep an eye on the crew. Years later I found myself Admiral of a Station. With most everyone gone whom had been part of the staff of the USS King George V."
She shifted her position, then continued. "While I was on that station, built out of an asteroid, I realized that someone was keeping an eye on me. Had spies keeping track of my movements. I ended up deciding it was time for me to leave, taking a long awaited sabbatical to decide if I wanted to be part of Starfleet anymore. Much had happened during that. I leave, and found myself upon Poseidon Station, and I found out from my friend and intelligence contact, who had been tracking me. It was my former team leader, Captain Vasal, whom I thought had died on Earth in a fire."
She stopped there, in case T'mpest wished to ask questions, make a comment if not Cara would continue.
"If I understand correctly, you worked intelligence under Captain Hayden Vasal. He assigned you to watch the King George V. When you wanted to leave intel, your brother helped you, but he later died on an assignment. Later, when you were assigned to be commander of a station inside an asteroid, you learned that all the crew of the King George V disappeared at some point. And then you were being watched. You fled to Poseidon Station, where you learned your former captain, whom you thought dead, is alive."
She raised an eyebrow and looked at Cara. "Do you suspect this Captain Vasal of killing the crew of the King George V, or of making them appear dead for some reason? And, do you think he wants you next?"
Cara realized that she had muddled up her information, "My apologies Commodore. It’s been a long while since I've shared much about me. The first ship that I was on, was the Kildare, and that was the intelligence ship I was on. The Intelligence team of the Kildare is the one that is being killed off. The USS King George V, my official assignment the crew is alive and well, but have gone their separate ways. They had helped to rebuild the station that was established in that asteroid. As to your question, I do suspect that Captain Vasal is killing off the intelligence team. And that he wants me next. I have been able to avoid him, with the help of my friend. She had been keeping track of his movements, but she's lost his trail and she suspects that he's changed his appearance. He was becoming obsessed with me when I was on his intelligence team, a huge reason why I left, besides my wanting to be a counselor."
"You can put his image in the main computer and see what it comes up with. Even with facial reconstruction, you can often match bone structure. It's worth a try." T'mpest paused for a moment. "I do know a person in intelligence who has an extensive archive of information. I could send it there."
This elicited a raised eyebrow from Cara, as she shifted her position. "That is a connection I wish I had. I will make certain to put in the image of Vasal, and hopefully he can be traced. I had a feeling that he had made it to Poseidon Station just wasn't able to ascertain just who he was. He was trained on how to avoid being picked up telepathically and even empathically. I am certain though that he will tip his hand at some point in time. And he can't seem to resist trying to find me."
This wasn't boasting it was a proven fact by her contact.
"Then we shall ensure that both security and intelligence are aware of him. I will reach out to my contact and have her start looking for this captain. It would be prudent to be prepared for the eventuality that he finds you here."
Cara gave a solemn nod. "Since you have the clearance, there is something else about me, I had carried the katra of someone who was both Vulcan and Orion. She was the mate of someone I cared deeply for. He had carried her katra for several years, until one day I ended up transferring her into my mind, until a proper katric vessel was able to be made. I am no longer in possession of her Katra and her mate now has the katric vessel with him. I had her katra for years, myself, not realizing it until, on Poseidon Station it was revealed. Now she is gone and I am adjusting. I have also had counseling, it was when at the time I was on sabbatical at the time. I had been cleared to rejoin Starfleet and be part of the Command Staff of Poseidon Station."
