Cara gave a solemn nod. "Since you have the clearance, there is something else about me, I had carried the katra of someone who was both Vulcan and Orion. She was the mate of someone I cared deeply for. He had carried her katra for several years, until one day I ended up transferring her into my mind, until a proper katric vessel was able to be made. I am no longer in possession of her Katra and her mate now has the katric vessel with him. I had her katra for years, myself, not realizing it until, on Poseidon Station it was revealed. Now she is gone and I am adjusting. I have also had counseling, it was when at the time I was on sabbatical at the time. I had been cleared to rejoin Starfleet and be part of the Command Staff of Poseidon Station."

"How could a human hold a katra for so long? The Vulcan does not survive long outside their body or a katric jar."
"I am not quite certain but it is what happened. And as for me, I am thinking that it’s almost like a possession of some sort. It has been known that a spirit can attach itself to a person and be with them for quite some time. And he couldn't let go, and for me, I carried her as well unknowingly for a time. Either way that was taken care of. An anomaly perhaps? Unexplained events. The man was an incredible man, who was rather strong in his feelings and yet so closed off as well."
"He is the one I had been in love with for quite some time and I ended that recently, setting both him and myself free." Cara felt comfortable with sharing this with T'mpest and she found this strangely freeing.
That caused T'mpest to raise her eyebrow. "You loved the man who's katra you bore?"
"I loved the man who carried his wife's katra. It sounds rather, illogical but it was there." she shifted slightly. "I have found myself in some strange predicaments, situations being on The USS King George V."
"It sounds like it. The rest of your career has been colorful as well." It was probably a good thing that T'mpest's career was relatively uneventful--although it had its moments. She did have her moments, but nothing like Cara. "So, what would you like us to do about Captain Vasal?"
"I would like to have him captured, incarcerated. Questioned. I feel he has quite a checkered past, but what that is, I do not know. Peeling the layers back to see what he has done. I feel that I might be in for some headaches as well." Cara responded.
"Send me his image and any information you have. It will then be forwarded to intelligence and security. Hopefully it will be enough." Although T'mpest knew if he'd gone unnoticed for this long, they would likely not know he was coming. "You are probably correct about the headaches."
" I have a dossier that I have been collecting, so I will give that information. And there is the likelihood that I will be needing to play bait in which to capture him." Cara stating this matter of fact. "something that I was prepared to do. Just to draw him out."
"Just your presence will be bait enough. But you may need to have a personal bodyguard, or someone to be with you to help keep you safe." It was too bad Cara didn't have a boyfriend, T'mpest thought. He would be the perfect protector as he wouldn't look like a bodyguard.
"Vasal would be able to pick out a bodyguard. I will probably need to make a friend or two, that may not look like bodyguards but can be vigilant. I am capable of defending myself but don't know if he would have friends with him. He probably has his trusted few from back in the day." Cara mused.
"Yes. But someone who is or acts like a boyfriend will not be suspected of anything more." T'mpest shrugged. "It is something to consider. I do not wish to overstate the possible threat, but you will need to take precautions. And perhaps talk to intelligence about being monitored."
Cara gave a nod. "With Vasal not being familiar with intelligence on this station, or with security or even this station, this would put him at a disadvantage. I feel that it is always best to choose the battle ground, and have the home advantage."
"Yes, but it is also one of the larger stations, so he would have more places to hide. But it does give us an advantage--and time to prepare."
"Exactly and thus the hunter becomes the prey, and his stalking will be at an end. I look forward to him not trying to have the upper hand in this. He could have just left me alone, and gone about his miserable life. He though is someone who feels he has to have control over everything. " Cara gave out a slight sigh, "When I was on the station I was admiral over, I do know that he had planted devices to keep track of me, but I knew what he was up to, and I had others who were keeping watch. "
T'mpest nodded. "If he comes here, he will not find us unprepared. But for now, you have people to talk to and cameras to install--at least in your office and quarters."
"Fancy that" Cara's demeanor relaxing. She found the idea of putting cameras in her own office and her own quarters amusing. "At least I will be my own spy, to keep watch as to someone coming into my quarters without permission. Perhaps--" Cara paused, as she thought over something. "Once we find out when he does arrive, could possibly involve some Marines... Someone who won't stand out like K'doc would."
"Marines or security. Either would work," T'mpest replied. "Is there anything else you want to bring up?"
"I do believe that I have covered or uncovered things where I am concerned, for now." Cara giving a nod, then she added "At a later date I would like to hear a bit more of your history, and maybe see if we have some other common interests"
T'mpest nodded. "Yes. I would like that." They would be working together a lot and she would like to know her first officer better--and not just when there was a problem.
"Thank you for seeing me, Commodore, it has been most appreciated." Cara allowing a smile to appear. "If I may be excused I will take my leave without a flounce." having a twinkle in her eyes.
T'mpest couldn't help grinning. "Well, if you really wish to flounce, you may. No one will hold it against you."
Cara gave out a belly laugh as she found T'mpest's return comment rather amusing. "Thank you." gracefully rising from the chair. "Until we meet again, outside of the office, and in civilian clothing." remembering the previous conversation they had in the promenade and being gawked at.
T'mpest watched her go with a smile. If nothing else, life on the station was never dull.
